Lately

Summer 2008. New York

I recently finished the concept and design of the main flash interface components for Bumble and Bumble’s new website. That site is so new it hasn’t launched yet! It is fully e-commerce enabled and will be live in mid-July. In the meantime, you can check out my prototype of the main flash interface used throughout the site. The interface is quite unique, and has an engaging i-phone-like tension and user-focused-goodness that make it irresistible.

No time to teach these days. I’m too busy working! I had a great time in the classroom last year and in early ’08, and had the pleasure of teaching the art department at Time Magazine, People Magazine, staff members at Essence, The Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Oxford University Press, The United Nations, and The Museum of Modern Art. Get the vibe by reading some reviews.

La Vista

Looking south-southeast on the West Village and Lower Manhattan. On the left, you’ll be looking over the roof of Pastis up Greenwich Street, with Lower Manhattan in the background. Scroll over to see the Hudson River, Jersey City and Hoboken on the right. You can see a bit of the High Line under construction in the foreground. In the middle of the panorama, you can see a portion of Julian Schnabel’s rose-colored Palazzo Chupi. I took this photo from West 13th street between 9th Avenue and Washington Street, sometime in March, 2008.
